As January is coming to an end, we all know that February means Valentine’s Day is approaching. Some love the holiday and others maybe not as much, but I look at it as a day to either be with your significant other or get together with all your girlfriends and have a good time. Either way, there are various Triangle Area restaurants that have put together some fabulous prix-fixe menus to celebrate the big day. I hope you get the chance to try some of them and if you do, please let me know what you think.

Revolution in Durham has a 3 course menu for $65 a person with a vast amount of selections. I looked over the menu and here are my choices for each course.

First course: Lemongrass Mussels with coconut milk and green curry

Second course: Seared Scallops with pancetta and white beans, shaved zucchini and red pepper romesco

Third course: Peanut Butter Tart with warm banana compote

Vin Rouge in Durham is known for it’s great French cuisine has a 3 course menu for $55 a person.

Weathervane located in A Southern Season in Chapel Hill will be serving their full menu as well as a prix-fixe menu for $45 for 3 courses. If you want to add a wine pairing to dinner, it is an additional $20.
